As a Toronto-based social worker and psychotherapist I have practiced in a variety of settings for close to 20 years. I started out working with hard-to-serve youth, in youth corrections, both outpatient as well as inside a correctional institution. I quickly realized that underneath the acting-out behaviours, these youth struggled with the impact of trauma. This led me to my next chapter, working in a specialized outpatient clinic with children and teens who had been sexually abused in their families and teens who had sexually offended, providing assessment and treatment. Following this chapter, I moved to working primarily with adults, providing trauma-informed psychotherapy. I have also been an intersession lecturer at McMaster University teaching CBT and Mindfulness to undergraduate students, and have been supervising graduate-level students (MSW and MACP) completing their clinical internships for the past 10 years. I have additional training in mindfulness, CBT as well as trauma-based approaches such as EMDR, parts work, and somatic-based interventions.
Over the course of the years of my practice as a psychotherapist, and in my personal life, I have come to witness the great healing capacity of self-compassion, as it helps us to safely face all the parts of our experiences, even those painful parts we may have been avoiding or suppressing for some time.

My personal experiences with addiction and recovery, intensive meditation training, blended family-life, and psychotherapy help me appreciate the critical role a safe therapeutic environment plays in helping people effectively encounter the emotions and long-standing narratives keeping them stuck in disempowering cycles of behaviour and thought.
I have found that by helping clients build a deeper awareness of their mind-body connection, they develop greater self-regulation, a healthier sense of self and more satisfying interpersonal relationships. While I help clients connect with their present-moment experience, my approach is very much trauma-informed and psychodynamic. I seek to provide you with the room you need to explore how your past may be impacting, or even overwhelming your present.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). After receiving my MA in journalism, I worked in corporate and non-profit communications for 10 years before returning to complete a master’s in counselling psychology for a second career as a psychotherapist. I have also served in the military. I am married with four teenage and young adult step-kids, and a toddler.

Although many of us struggle to acknowledge the need for help, I believe we are all healing from something and can use a helping hand. I provide a safe space for individuals to freely express themselves without judgement, with the belief that expressing vulnerability is a courageous act. Insight into the root of your struggles not only enlightens, but also empowers, enabling you to become the best version of yourself.
Using a combination of psychodynamic modalities and CBT, my approach is honest, sensitive, and direct; I guide clients towards embracing the present while exploring the past. I have training and front-line counselling experience at an emergency mental health hospital, where I have supported individuals struggling with mental illness and addiction, crisis, and the impacts of trauma. As a child of an immigrant parent, I appreciate the unique challenges people from hybrid backgrounds face, both within their families and in the greater society. I offer therapy in English and Spanish.
I hold an Honours BA in psychology from York University and an MA in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Although the road to recovery is not an easy one, I am here to support you in your journey towards discovering your peace of mind.

I work with individuals who are navigating some of the harder parts of being human, whether that's stress, loss, illness, relationship struggles, family history, or simply a sense that something feels off and hard to name.
Sessions are collaborative and exploratory, and we move at a pace that feels right for you. Over time, many people find they're better able to understand themselves, relate to others with more ease, and care for themselves with less judgment.
I draw from person-centred, trauma-informed, and somatic approaches, alongside parts work and mindfulness. I'm particularly interested in how our stories, both personal and cultural, shape how we see ourselves and the world.
I work with individuals and teens navigating complex family histories, identity shifts, midlife transitions, and chronic or invisible illness, and am particularly drawn to those who are highly sensitive or caught in people-pleasing patterns. Before training as a therapist, I spent over two decades as a music educator. As a second-generation Canadian, I bring an awareness of how culture, identity, and belonging shape our inner lives.
Specialties: Anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodiversity (ADHD, autism), invisible disabilities, life transitions, self-esteem, cultural identity.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of where to go from here. Anxiety, low mood, social anxiety, relationship stress, and life transitions can quietly build over time, especially when something important has been pushed aside for too long. Sometimes what brings people in is not one single issue, but the sense that life has become harder to carry on their own.
I offer a warm, grounded space where you can slow things down and begin to understand what is happening more clearly. The primary goal is to help you make sense of your experience, deepen your understanding of yourself, and support movement toward change that feels realistic and meaningful. I draw from psychodynamic, cognitive behavioural, and mindfulness-based approaches, while keeping the focus on you and what feels most helpful in the room. You do not need to arrive with the right words or a clear plan. This can be a place to speak openly, reflect honestly, and begin working through what has been weighing on you. When you feel ready, I invite you to reach out.
Before moving into psychotherapy, I worked as a project manager with charities and private organizations. That experience gave me a grounded appreciation for the pressures, responsibilities, and changes people often carry in daily life. I live in Toronto with my partner and two teenage children.

I believe that we all carry stories, patterns, and ways of relating that were shaped long before we had the words to understand them. Sometimes those patterns help us cope and move through life, and other times they can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or repeating the same painful experiences in our relationships and within ourselves.
My path to becoming a therapist has been shaped by a deep curiosity about the inner world, the impact of early relationships, and the ways people find resilience in the face of adversity. As a psychotherapist in training and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student at Yorkville University, I am especially drawn to helping adults who are navigating anxiety, self-doubt, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
I work from an integrative approach that is grounded in psychodynamic and attachment-based therapy. I believe that by slowing down and exploring our inner world and early experiences, we can begin to understand the deeper roots of the struggles we face in the present. In therapy, I often wonder with clients about the patterns that keep showing up, the emotions that may have been pushed aside, and the parts of themselves that have not always felt seen, understood, or accepted.
At the same time, I believe that insight alone is not always enough. Alongside this deeper exploration, I incorporate CBT- and DBT-informed strategies to support emotional regulation, coping, and practical change. My hope is that therapy can be both a place of reflection and a place of movement—a space where you can make sense of your experiences while also learning new ways to care for yourself.
Before beginning my training in counselling psychology, I worked in health care and community-based settings, experiences that taught me the importance of meeting people with compassion, humility, and respect for the uniqueness of their lives. I have had the opportunity to support individuals through group work, relationship and boundary-setting education, and trauma-informed care. These experiences strengthened my belief that healing happens in the context of a safe, collaborative, and genuine relationship.
As an immigrant, I also understand that identity, transition, loss, belonging, and resilience can shape the way we move through the world. I value creating a therapeutic space that is warm, non-judgmental, and grounded in curiosity and compassion, where you do not have to have everything figured out before you begin. I speak English and Russian, and I welcome clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
I know that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable. My hope is that our work together can help you feel more connected to yourself, more compassionate toward your struggles, and more able to move toward the life and relationships you want.
